How We Print

Powell Prints offers both:  screen printing, and embroidery.
Below is an explanation of each and some examples.

1. Screen Printing

  • Screen printing uses screens as stencils in order to directly imprint ink onto the fabric of the shirt. The original design is printed onto a screen and a different screen is needed for each color that is used in the design. Screen printing holds up much longer than heat transfers.
  • Screen printing is used for orders of 12 items or more.

2. Embroidery

  • Embroidery today has turned to machinery. With embroidery you still use thread and needles.
  • You can embroider almost anything as long as it is digitized (we offer in house digitizing) on the computer so the machine knows where to stitch. Monograms are very popular with embroidery.
